Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family of musicians. When she was a kid, she listened to a lot of traditional music as well as old Boleros. In addition, she was a fan of traditional romantic ballads and ranchero. Ana is passionate about tangos and opera, and any dramatic performance. Her mother taught her to sing, however she began more intensive training in vocals through Flavio Belcerra at 16 when the singer was famous as a Mexican opera singer and tenor. At the School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico furthered her education in music. When she was a student, and a young professional, she performed with numerous chamber ensembles and opera choruses in Guadalajara and Mexico City. When she moved in California in United States in 2000, she joined the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before making the move to her current place in the southern part of California. She currently performs traditional Latin American songs at private events as a soloist. The passion and love she has in music, art and performing keeps her involved with many local organizations as a teacher and performer. Ana has been a member of Community Chorus of Redlands (as well being a member of the Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana is a fan of classic Latin American songs and hopes to encourage others to sing the same.
