Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig in September 21 in 1983. Maggie Grace is an American actress best known for her role as Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV show Lost. After her parents divorced, she relocated with her mother to Los Angeles. In 2001, despite her financial struggles it was possible to land her first major performance in the video online show Rachel's Room in the role of Rachel's Room's principal character. In 2002, she was awarded an Young Artist Award in 2002 for her performance in Murder on the streets of Greenwich of 15 year old Martha Moxley as a murder victim, she went on to win. Grace Rutherford played Shannon Rutherford for Lost's first two seasons in 2004, and she shared the Screen Actors Guild Award (with other cast members) alongside her. Grace was a co-star with Tom Welling on The Fog in the year 2005, wanted to move into the world of film. She starred in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club in both 2007 as well as Taken (2008) alongside Liam Neeson. In 2008, she reprised the role Taken 2 (2013) and Taken 3 (2015). The actress also appeared in Alice in Malice in Wonderland which is an updated adaptation from the Lewis Carroll novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace reprised the role as Shannon in two episodes of Lost including the series finale. The year was 2013, and she was a guest in the sixth episode of Californication. She portrays Faith as a groupie, and also her muse to the stars that catches the eye of Hank Moody played by David Duchovny. Gyllenhaal is a part of the family and is the elder sister of Jake Gyllenhaal. The first time she appeared in films starring her father when he was an adolescent. Along with her brother, she was also as a character in Donnie Darko (2000). Her next roles were in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind in 2002, as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal was praised by critics for her leading roles in Secretary (2002, erotic romantic drama), and Sherrybaby (606), both that earned her Golden Globe Award nods. She gained wider recognition after playing Rachel Dawes, a superhero in The Dark Knight (2008) due to the success of several commercials she appeared in in 2006. Nominated in the Academy Award as Best Supporting Actress for her performance on the film Crazy Heart, (2009). In the following years, she starred in comedies and dramas: Nanny McPhee & the Big Bang (2010) Hysteria 2011 and Won't Back Down 2012. Some of her other parts include acting as a Secret Service agent for Secret Service in White House Down 2013, as a singer for Secret Service in White House Down 2013 as well singing in Frank 2014 and also in The Kindergarten Teacher 2018, in which she plays the lead character. The debut of Gyllenhaal as a writer and director took place in 2021, with The Lost Daughter, a psychological thriller in which she won an award at the Venice International Film Festival Best Screenplay Award. She also received an Academy Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay.
